We are thrilled to have your family in our community and look forward to empowering and guiding your child on their learning journey.
We encourage you to join us for these key upcoming events:
Welcome Back Virtual Overview: We will have our welcome back to Eco Hub (all families) parent meeting virtually on Thursday, 28th August, from 6.00pm to 7.00pm. We will send you a calendar invite on the week of 19th August.
New Family Welcome Lunch: If you are a new family joining Learnlife, join us at the Eco Hub to see the space and meet our team for a special lunch on Tuesday, 2nd September from 1.00pm to 2.00pm. This will be catered by our lunch provider, Dosa Nova.
Welcome Back Family Potluck: Our annual welcome back potluck will be on 4th September. This will take place at 3.00pm and last approximately 60 to 90 minutes. Make sure you bring a dish to share!
We use words that support authentic learning experiences and purpose-inspired learner agency.
Below is a handy guide to the language we use at Learnlife. If you ever hear or see something you don’t understand, just ask.
Each day, your child will need to bring:
A water bottle that can be refilled at the Hub
A small backpack
A pencil case with at least 5 pencils, an eraser, and a sharpener
This materials list provides everything your child needs during the year.
Your child’s daily schedule starts at 9.00am. Drop-off begins at 8:45am, and we start promptly at 9.00am with Real Talk.
Real Talk is an opportunity for learners and staff from each programme group (Adventurers, Discoverers, Pioneers) to connect, share their thoughts, experiences, and emotions, and review all the important information for the day/week.
Real Talk is the foundation of our relational approach and the core of social/emotional learning at the Eco Hub.
Daily Schedule
Please check our program schedules page to see the daily schedules of each group.
At this link you can find our 2025-2026 Eco Hub calendar.
Our Community Host creates and maintains an Eco Hub Google calendar with all upcoming activities. She will share this with you before learners start in September and will send you calendar invites for all activities and events at the Eco Hub so you can add them to your calendar.
Learners have a snack break daily at 10:30. You need to provide snacks for your child, which are eaten either at the Eco Hub or Barco Pirata (just across the parking lot from our Hub).
We ask you to provide snacks that enhance learning experiences. Excellent options include fruits, vegetables, nuts, hard-boiled eggs or whole grains. Learners can't share snacks for two key reasons: 1) allergies, and 2) parents pack what they prefer their children eat.
We find that snacks that fall into the junk food category are in high demand for trading and sharing. So please assist us in managing this by providing healthy snacks for your child. Thank you! Oh, and no soda or caffeine!
Your child can bring their lunch daily (following similar guidelines to the snack section above). Alternatively, you can order lunch through our catering partner with the option for three, five days per week or a coupon with 10 days to choose. All information and links for this service can be found here.
If your child needs to receive medication, please provide our Community Host with a copy of the prescription and instructions for use.
We cannot give learners medication without a signed note from the family and the doctor, and no learner is allowed to self-medicate.
The learning day begins promptly at 9:00. If your child will be absent, late, or needs to leave early, please notify our Community Host by emailing ecohub@learnlife.com or calling +34 691 395 720.
If your child will be absent for an extended period due to family circumstances, please notify us and also coordinate directly with the child’s Learning Guide.
If a learner needs to bring their phone/smartwatch to the Hub, it must be kept by a Learning Guide at the beginning of the day, and picked up when leaving.
No tech during lunch.
Learners who want to work on projects may ask Learning Guides for punctual tech use.
Pioneers might be asked to bring their own device for specific Building Blocks, and you will receive an email from your child's mentor before.
Devices must be kept in the staff room and can only be used during Building Blocks, under the supervision of an adult.
At Learnlife, we view challenging behavior as a sign of unmet needs—whether those are social, emotional, communication, physical, sensory, or learning needs. Our approach is based on the understanding that:
Behavior is an action, not an identity.
Children thrive and behave well when they’re able to meet expectations.
Positive behavior can be learned and improved over time.
Behavior must be seen within its context and in relation to community expectations.
At Learnlife, we foster a safe and supportive environment that promotes growth and community. We follow a positive behavior support model focused on encouraging positive change, mediation, and reflection rather than punishment. For more information, please see this document.
