Dear Village Hub Families,
The past weeks have been full of energy, exploration, and meaningful learning. From hands-on projects to memorable trips and shared celebrations, it has been a joyful season of curiosity, collaboration, and growth for our learners.
Our learners had a wonderful time celebrating Carnival! They made crêpes, tasted traditional butifarra d’ou (Catalan egg sausage), and enjoyed activities like mask making and a Catalan drawing contest. It was a joyful week full of creativity, culture, and fun!
Our trip to Tarragona was a great success! The trains ran smoothly, and the journey was easy and enjoyable. Learners were fascinated by the ancient Roman ruins, and we especially loved seeing how focused and engaged they were while sketching and observing the historical sites. It was a wonderful day of learning and exploration!
Our visit to the sustainable farm was a beautiful day of outdoor learning. Learners enjoyed the twenty-minute walk to the farm, discovered more about local, sustainable food practices, and loved spending the day immersed in nature. It was a meaningful and refreshing experience for everyone.
As we approach the end of the cycle, we’d like to remind families that our cycle 2’s 360s are coming up soon (9-13 March). These conversations are an important moment for learners, mentors, and families to reflect together on growth, celebrate progress, and set intentions for the months ahead. You will receive an email from your child’s mentor to book a time for it. We look forward to connecting with all of you.
Our end-of-cycle Showcase is also just around the corner (19th March), and we’re excited to celebrate all the creativity and learning from this cycle. The Showcase will begin with a Gallery Walk from 2:00–3:15, followed by the Open Mic from 3:15–4:00. We can’t wait to see the wonderful projects, performances, and shared moments that bring our community together!
Join us for our next Parent Coffee session on 6th March in person at the Village Hub.
On March 12, our Primary learners will be going on an excursion to the Eco Hub. They will spend the full day collaborating with Eco Hub learners on a variety of projects and will also have some time to play at the beach.
We will send more details about drop-off and pick-up arrangements soon.
We’re delighted to invite our Learnlife families to Mindvalley University 2026 in Tallinn (July 20 - August 2)
The global conference for transformational learning
A full-on immersion where transformation happens daily, connection runs deep, and you rediscover how life was always meant to feel. This is growth on your terms, at your pace—a spacious, intentional, community-driven event where deep learning meets deep living.
For the third consecutive year, Learnlife will design and deliver the dedicated children’s and teen programme for ages 6 to 18. Our team will create meaningful, future-focused experiences that give young people their own powerful journey alongside the adult program.
As partners of Mindvalley, our families can benefit from early bird pricing. If you’re interested, please contact nicole@learnlife.com for details and access to the partner rate. We’d love to see many of you there.
We are pleased to invite you to an upcoming Zoom meeting focused on future pathways for our learners on March 3 at 18:00.
We have invited the leads of the Urban Hub, Mich and Adri, to join us and share their experience and expertise in guiding learners through post-secondary pathways.
During this session, they will speak about:
University entrance pathways (both national and international)
Alternative and vocational pathways
ESO and Bachillerato
Key considerations when planning for future transitions
This will be an opportunity for families to better understand the options available as we move through the accreditation process and to ask questions about planning for the years ahead.
We hope you can join us for this informative session.

Intensives are an opportunity for learners to dive deeply into an area of interest while building specific skills through a focused, immersive experience.
As we continue to grow, we look forward to collaborating more closely with the Urban Hub and expanding learner choice even further.
This cycle, intensives will run from March 20–27 within our normal schedule. We are excited to offer two options that learners voted for. Each learner will choose the intensive they would like to join.
Option 1: Big Art
In this intensive, learners will think beyond small canvases and create large-scale artwork that transforms space. From murals to installations and collaborative pieces, they will plan, design, and execute bold artistic projects while exploring materials, structure, and the impact of scale.
Option 2: Pop-Up Restaurant
In this intensive, learners will design their own restaurant concept — including brand, space, and menu — and serve real guests on the final day. They will explore what it takes to open and run a restaurant, from designing a temporary pop-up space to food presentation and hospitality, gaining hands-on insight into the restaurant industry.
Some of our learners are beginning the transition process as they prepare to move from one program to the next — from Pioneers to Explorers and from Explorers to Creators.
Transitions at the Village Hub are meaningful and intentional. Learners must complete one task within each domain: Learning to Be, Learning to Think, Learning to Relate, Learning to Act, and Learning to Learn. These experiences are designed to stretch them, deepen their self-awareness, and demonstrate readiness for the next stage.
Examples of transition experiences include organizing and running their own Adelante, completing a rite of passage that pushes them beyond their comfort zone, and engaging in a deep dive into systems thinking.
Learners take this process very seriously and will need the support of their families. The conversation will begin during the 360 meeting, where learners will present a proposed rite of passage to their families for discussion.
As part of marking this milestone, learners have expressed that they would like to celebrate their transition with a trip to PortAventura.
We will be in touch shortly with the families of transitioning learners to share more details.
We are already deep in planning for next year and the energy is building!
We are currently hiring a STEM Learning Guide and are thrilled to be meeting incredible candidates from top universities and innovative learning spaces around the world. The level of experience, passion, and global perspective coming through our doors has been very exciting.
At the same time, we are actively searching for a new Studio Expert who will help us design and build out dynamic studio spaces and offer a wide variety of maker studios. This role will be key to expanding hands-on, project-based experiences where learners can design, build, prototype, experiment, and create in meaningful ways.
Looking ahead, we will also be aligning our calandar with the Urban Hub. This alignment will allow us to collaborate more closely and create shared experiences across hubs.
We are currently planning:
A shared ski trip
A shared prom
Two-week intensive learning experiences in January and June (ranging from Model UN to pop-up restaurants and more!)
Next year is shaping up to be a powerful step forward with more collaboration, more opportunity, and even stronger pathways for our learners.
We can’t wait to build it together!
Our full school calendar for next year will be shared soon. In the meantime, we would like to share a few key dates to help with planning:

Family Calçotada on March 8th
All Village Hub families are warmly invited to join the Family Calçotada on March 8th!
For those who may be new to the tradition, calçots are a type of sweet Catalan green onion that are grilled over an open flame and eaten dipped in delicious romesco sauce. Calçotades are a beloved Catalan tradition and the expereince consists of a long, relaxed outdoor meal where everyone gathers, eats with their hands, and enjoys time together.
This special event is being organized by our wonderful parent community, and is a great opportunity to connect as a village.
In our fourth interactive learning module, families explored core wellbeing strategies that support attention, emotional regulation, creativity, and executive functioning — capacities that help children and teens of all ages learn, make healthy choices, and build strong relationships.
If you missed the session, you can check the presentation and the recording.
Warm regards,
– The Village Hub Team
