Newsletter
Dear Families,
As the year comes to a close, we want to take a moment to thank you for being part of what makes this all possible. Your support, trust, and care mean so much to us. We’re excited for another year ahead, continuing to walk alongside your learners on their unique learning journeys.
In this final newsletter, you’ll find some memories to cherish from the past year, as well as important updates and dates for the upcoming one.
Once again, thank you. For your trust, your care, and for being such an important part of our community.
Warmly,
The Learnlife Team
We want to take a moment to express our deep appreciation for the incredible Learnlife parent community. Your support and generosity have truly gone above and beyond in helping both our learners and our team feel valued and cared for.
Last Friday, we were treated to a beautiful breakfast lovingly prepared by parents. The table was filled with delicious homemade dishes, both sweet and savory, each one made with care. It not only looked amazing, but tasted even better! Learners, LGs, and staff came together to enjoy food, conversation, and the joy of being in community.
As if that wasn’t enough, all LGs and in-house staff received generous gifts from parents as a token of appreciation. We are genuinely touched by your kindness.
We would like to give a special recognition to the Urban Hub Parent Group. They orchestrated this surprise and they always support the team in more than one way behind the scenes. Thank you!!
We appreciate your ongoing support, it means the world to us. We look forward to continuing this journey together!
On June 13, we had the joy of celebrating the graduation of the Class of 2025. Moments like this remind us why we do what we do—there is no greater pride than seeing the incredible individuals our learners have grown into.
Each of them has left a unique mark on our community, and listening to their speeches made it clear: above all, Learnlife is a place where young people feel safe to grow, discover who they are, and develop the skills they’ll carry into their future.
Class of 2025, you will be deeply missed. We wish you all the best in the exciting paths ahead, and we know you'll carry this community with you wherever you go.
This year, each program traveled to different parts of Catalonia for their end-of-year trip. When we reflect with learners on what has had the greatest impact on them, Colonias—our time together in community—always stands out. These trips offer a powerful opportunity to build friendships, deepen connections, and celebrate the journey we’ve shared.
We’re excited to continue this tradition in the years ahead, creating space for learners to come together in nature and beyond as a connected, growing community.
We want to take a moment to say goodbye to Joyce and express our deep gratitude. We will forever be grateful for the impact you’ve had and the lasting footprint you leave on what the Hubs are today.
Your ever-present “yes, and” attitude, boundless positivity, and strong leadership will remain beacons of inspiration for all of us who, in one way or another, take on leadership roles.
We wish you all the best in the next chapter of your journey. The spaces you helped build will always have their doors open to you.
Thank you for everything.

Please find attached the 2025–2026 academic calendar. Below are the main updates for the upcoming year:
We are transitioning to a two-cycle system to support: More in-depth learning, Larger, more meaningful projects and facilitating the documentation / record creation of your learners' learning journey.
As a result, the year will now include:
Two Intensives
Two Showcases
Two 360s
The Learning Vitae (LV) will continue to be our main tool for tracking progress and will:
Support more frequent and effective check-ins
Strengthen communication between parents, learners, mentors, and learning guides
Traditional events like Prom, the Winter Party, and St. Jordi celebrations will also be included in the calendar. Specific dates for these events will be shared once they are confirmed.
We have exciting updates regarding the AP exams for the upcoming year. As previously mentioned, the courses we will offer include:
AP English Language & Composition
AP Biology: This course will focus on the experimental part. Learners who wish to take the exam will need to study the theory independently, although we will have a Learning Guide trained in AP Biology to support them with any questions.
AP Pre-Calculus
AP Calculus AB: We will have someone trained to support this subject. However, we will not offer it as a full course unless there is sufficient enrollment.
AP Economics: We will have someone trained to support this subject. However, we will not offer it as a full course unless there is sufficient enrollment.
AP Modern World History: Initially, we considered offering AP Human Geography, but as our goal with APs is to ensure they are recognized by various university systems, we have opted for AP Modern History instead, as it is more broadly recognized. This course will be available to both Creators and Changemakers.
We are excited to share the Learning Vitae (LV), a dynamic tool that empowers learners to showcase their growth, skills, and achievements. This platform allows them to curate a personalized profile, which they are encouraged to update regularly.
We’re introducing a unified approach to behavior expectations and protocols across all Hubs to ensure consistency, clarity, and fairness. This framework prioritizes restorative practices, encouraging learners to reflect, take responsibility, and find constructive solutions.
We’ve updated our website with information relevant to the upcoming year, and there are a few additional updates we’ll make in September. Feel free to check it out!
