Dear Eco Hub families,
We hope you enjoyed a restful and joyful holiday! Our Learning Team has returned energized and ready to begin a new year of exploration, growth, and meaningful experiences. Over the summer, we focused on strengthening our programs and aligning them across all Hubs, so we can offer your children the best possible learning journey. As always, you can find important updates about schedules, learning, logistics, and more on our Family Website.
Last Thursday, we shared an overview of how learning unfolds at the Eco Hub and what’s ahead for this year.
You can find the parent presentation by clicking on the slide deck above or using this link.

We’re excited to welcome you on Wednesday, the 3rd of September, when our Eco Hub doors will open for drop-off from 8:45 to 9:00 am. Please remember to use only the main gate, as the side door is reserved for staff and service providers.
We’re sure your learners are just as excited as we are about the first day! We encourage you to take pictures on Day 1, as from the next day onward, we’ll say our goodbyes at the door to help your learners smoothly transition into their day.
Our Community Host has sent out a lunch survey, which we kindly ask you to complete as soon as possible if you haven't done so already. Please see here more information abour our caterer, and this month's menu.

We’ll be using email as our main way of staying in touch with you. Sometimes, Gmail may mistakenly filter group emails into the spam folder. To prevent this, we recommend adding our email address to your contacts so that you receive all our messages without missing any important updates.

As announced in March, we remind you that starting this academic year, dismissal at the Eco Hub will be at 14:30 on Fridays only. This decision has been carefully considered over many years, and we believe it is essential for maintaining the integrity of our programming. The change serves two key purposes:
1. Dedicated time for team collaboration and professional development
Currently, there is no opportunity for the Learning Guide Assistants, Community and Space Hosts to meet with the rest of the Learning Team. This weekly time will allow for alignment across instructional design, behavior expectations, and social-emotional wellness for all learners.
2. Consistency and alignment across all hubs
The Urban Hub and Village Hub already have shorter learner days on Fridays (9:00-13:00 or 10:00-14:00). We are aligning the 3 Hubs and the new schedule reflects alignment and parity between Hubs, so we can continue to keep our tuition reasonable. While the Eco Hub will still run a 5.5-hour day (9:00-14:30), this schedule adjustment creates a two-hour window for collaboration with other hubs and the broader organization.
Starting Friday, September 19th, an on-site afterschool option will be available. This initiative has been organized by the Parent Hub—please contact them directly for more information.
We’re excited to share an incredible opportunity open to our entire community. Discover Rwanda with Learnlife! The upcoming Rwanda Trip (10-24 January) is designed not only for learners aged 12 and above, but also for parents, family members, and friends of Learnlife.
This journey offers a chance to experience Rwanda’s rich culture, history, and natural beauty while connecting deeply with others in our community. Whether your child is participating or not, you are warmly invited to be part of this unforgettable experience.

Parent Hub is a group of parent volunteers dedicated to supporting the success and well-being of our EcoHub community. They are the EcoHub version of a Parent-Teacher Association — here to connect, support, and celebrate with you throughout the school year.
Parent comms
They use WhatsApp to help parents stay in the loop!
■ Each program has its own group chat for discussion and coordination.
■ There’s also a one-way Parent Hub broadcast channel where they post important updates and reminders.
🧑 💬 Please note: These chats are entirely parent-run — EcoHub staff are not present unless they are also parents.
Please join the ParentHub broadcast channel plus the program group(s) relevant to you
(Adventurers, Discoverers, Pioneers), stating your name(s) and your child's name, so that the PH
program reps can organize the group. Contact the EcoHub ParentHub directly: llparenthub@gmail.com.
