Dear Eco Hub families,
It has been a vibrant and emotional month at the Hub, filled with celebrations, cultural experiences, and important steps in our learners’ journeys. In this issue, we share some of the moments that brought us together as a community and continue to support each learner’s growth.
Enjoy the read!
Warmly,
The Eco Hub Team
As part of Wordshop, where learners are exploring poetry and songs, we visited the Liceu Theatre in Barcelona last Wednesday to attend a children’s opera in Catalan: La cuina d’en Rossini.
It was a wonderful opportunity for learners to discover an iconic cultural venue, experience live opera, and engage with the Catalan language in a meaningful and memorable way. They were fully immersed throughout the performance and absolutely loved the experience!
Before our Semana Blanca break, we came together for our Carnival celebration (with an unexpected last-minute change of date). Learners enjoyed crêpes, sang bingo, played musical chairs, and took part in carnival games designed and run by the learners themselves.
A big shout-out to all the families who got involved and helped make this celebration such a success. Your support and presence made the day truly special!
For the past three years, we have accompanied our Year 2 Pioneers as they completed their primary journey at the Hub and moved on to the secondary years through a dedicated transition process.
We are very excited to share that, starting this year, we will also offer a transition process for Year 2 Adventurers and Year 2 Discoverers to support them as they move into the next programme.
To guide families through this new step, we will be offering information sessions:
We were thrilled to receive the news last month that the Eco Hub will remain open. As a community, we took time to share how we were feeling and celebrated together with hot chocolate and juice, a simple and heartfelt moment to acknowledge what this means for all of us.
As we approach the end of the cycle, we’d like to remind families that our cycle 2’s 360s are coming up soon (16-20 March). These conversations are an important moment for learners, mentors, and families to reflect together on growth, celebrate progress, and set intentions for the months ahead. You will receive an email from your child’s mentor to book a time for it. We look forward to connecting with all of you.
Our end-of-cycle Showcase is also just around the corner (26th March), and we’re excited to celebrate all the creativity and learning from this cycle. The Showcase will begin with a Gallery Walk from 3:00–3:45, followed by the Open Mic from 3:45–4:30, and we’ll finish the afternoon with a community potluck starting at 4:30. We can’t wait to see the wonderful projects, performances, and shared moments that bring our community together!
We’re delighted to invite our Learnlife families to Mindvalley University 2026 in Tallinn (July 20 - August 2)
The global conference for transformational learning
A full-on immersion where transformation happens daily, connection runs deep, and you rediscover how life was always meant to feel. This is growth on your terms, at your pace—a spacious, intentional, community-driven event where deep learning meets deep living.
For the third consecutive year, Learnlife will design and deliver the dedicated children’s and teen programme for ages 6 to 18. Our team will create meaningful, future-focused experiences that give young people their own powerful journey alongside the adult program.
As partners of Mindvalley, our families can benefit from early bird pricing. If you’re interested, please contact nicole@learnlife.com for details and access to the partner rate. We’d love to see many of you there.
We’re excited to announce that Anouk and Kyra joined the Eco Hub last Monday as interns! They come to us from NHL University (Netherlands) and will be part of the Eco Hub team until 22nd May. During this time, they’ll be learning alongside our community and contributing to Eco Hub life and projects. We’re very happy to welcome them and look forward to the energy, curiosity, and perspectives they’ll bring. You can find a brief introduction from each of them below.
Hi everyone,
My name is Anouk Nijland, I am 25 years old and I am from The Netherlands. I am currently in my fourth year, studying International Teacher Education for primary schools at NHL Stenden, university of applied sciences located in Meppel, The Netherlands. In my spare time, I enjoy traveling, cooking, reading, and being creative.
From mid-February onwards, I will start my internship as a student teacher at Learnlife. I am thrilled to be joining your child’s class as a student teacher for the upcoming twelve weeks and become a part of their learning process, but also to learn from them.

The open house on 24 February was a great success, we had 12 families joining! Thank you to all our volunteers who came out to help talk about Eco Hub and Learnlife, answer questions and give prospective families valuable perspective on their experiences.
Next Open House is on 10 March! Please help us spread the word, tell friends, post on social media! You can use the visual asset on the left. Get involved and find more information in the Eco Hub Ambassadors Channel.
And thank you to all who complete the survey recently about volunteering! We were delighted to see that so many of you want to help. You should start to hear from your committee lead soon regarding next steps!
In our fourth interactive learning module, families explored core wellbeing strategies that support attention, emotional regulation, creativity, and executive functioning — capacities that help children and teens of all ages learn, make healthy choices, and build strong relationships.
