Dear Eco Hub families,
The final cycle of the academic year has begun, and our new Building Block topics are in full swing—sparking curiosity and creativity across the Hub as learners dive into fresh themes and big questions. We hope you enjoy this month’s updates and take a moment to soak in all the joy, growth, and magic that spring brings to Learnlife.
Warmly,
The Eco Hub Team
We wrapped up cycle 2 with a celebration of creativity, growth, and community. During a whole morning, learners hosted an Entertainment Fair, welcoming elderly visitors from Torremarina to the Hub to play the games they had designed during Explora, receiving thoughtful feedback based on inclusivity criteria. We also held our 360 meetings, where learners took the lead in sharing their reflections and growth with their parents and learning guides. Finally, we closed the cycle with our Showcase and show-show, highlighting the incredible projects, talents, and learning journeys from the past months.
We celebrated Sant Jordi with a joyful day dedicated to books, creativity, and Catalan tradition. Learners rotated through stations where they designed their own bookmarks, crafted paper roses, contributed to a collaborative dragon drawing, enjoyed quiet reading time, and listened to stories being read aloud. We wrapped up the day with a heartwarming book exchange, reminding us all of the joy in sharing stories. It was a beautiful way to celebrate literature, imagination, and the spirit of Sant Jordi together.
The Pioneers have been reflecting on their Cycle 2 journey with the Imagine theme, where they explored creativity through working with wood. Drawing from their experiences, they’ve shared thoughtful advice with the Discoverers, who will now take on their own woodworking challenge—designing keychains and launching a small business venture this cycle.
As we kick off this new cycle, learners will be exploring big questions and enduring understandings across our Building Blocks. In the document below, you’ll find an overview of each Building Block, the key skills being developed, and the projects learners will be working on.
Feel free to use this as a starting point for conversations with your learners about their experiences and discoveries!

We’re thrilled to share some wonderful news: the Learnlife family is growing! Pau is expecting a baby and is due at the end of October, and John is in the process of adopting two children, with his family growing around September/October. We couldn’t be more excited for them as they embark on these amazing new adventures! Feel free to congratulate them when you see them!
We are excited to welcome Leigh Fitzgerald for a visit to Barcelona the first week in May. We invite parents to join us for informal meet & greets in each location. Leigh and her family will officially relocate this summer, with Leigh's start date at Learnlife in mid-August.
Eco Hub: Monday, May 5, 10:30-11:00
Village Hub: Monday, May 5, 15:30-16:00
Urban Hub: Tuesday, May 6, 9:00-9:30
This Showcase’s show-show will be a little different! After the Gallery Walk, we’ll be hosting a Talent Show, where learners can share a passion or talent—whether or not it’s related to a Building Block. Each learner can participate only once, and the deadline to sign up is May 16th. No applications will be accepted after the deadline, so get ready to shine and celebrate everyone's unique talents!
For adults who want to share their passions, too, please reach out to the Parent Hub, as it will happen after the learners' Talent Show.
This month, we’re launching the MAY I Read Challenge! The goal is simple: every learner will read at least one book during May that stretches them just a little beyond their comfort zone. If we all reach our goal, we’ll celebrate with a beach picnic on May 30th! It’s a great opportunity to discover new stories, grow as readers, and enjoy a fun reward together.
We’re excited to share that we have installed two new bathrooms at the Hub! This upgrade will help make our space even more comfortable for everyone.

Last Friday, we had the pleasure of having Suzanne Faith at the Eco Hub for a Parent Coffee focused on building confidence and self-esteem in children. Through a warm and interactive workshop, Suzanne shared practical strategies and invited families to reflect on how small, intentional actions can make a lasting impact on a child's sense of self-worth. Parents explored ways to nurture resilience, celebrate effort over outcomes, and create environments where children feel truly seen and valued. Please find here some of the resources that were covered. It was a meaningful morning of learning, connection, and community — thank you to all who joined us!
