Welcome to a new year at Eco Hub!

Dear Eco Hub families,

We hope you enjoyed a restful and joyful holiday! Our Learning Team has returned energized and ready to begin a new year of exploration, growth, and meaningful experiences. This is the first of our monthly Family Newsletters where you can find important updates about schedules, learning, logistics, and more. It is hosted in our Family Website (hopefully you already have it bookmarked 😉).

 Last Thursday, we shared an overview of how learning unfolds at the Eco Hub and what’s ahead for this year.

Lunch

Our Community Host has sent out a lunch survey, which we kindly ask you to complete as soon as possible if you haven't done so already. Please see here more information abour our caterer, and this month's menu. 

Learning materials

On the first week, learners will need: 

• A4 folder with 7 dividers.

• Small pencil case to fit in backpack, with at least 5 pencils, an eraser, a pencil, sharpener and a glue stick.

• Discoverers and Pioneers 5 notebooks: 4 A4 lined notebook and 1 A5 graph paper.

• Adventurers 2 notebooks: A4 lined notebook.

Daily:

• Healthy snack (10:30 and afternoons 2:30 (optional) - examples: fruit, vegetables and hummus, mixed nuts, whole grains.

• Reusable water bottle, sunscreen and bug spray

• Cutlery (if bringing lunch from home)

• Comfy, practical clothes that can get dirty

• Small backpacks (cubbies are shared)

We’ll be using email as our main way of staying in touch with you. Sometimes, Gmail may mistakenly filter group emails into the spam folder. To prevent this, we recommend adding our email address to your contacts so that you receive all our messages without missing any important updates.

Getting Started with PowerSchool & Holded! 📱

We’ve officially moved to PowerSchool for the new school year! On Friday last week you should have received an email from learnlife@learnlife.com sharing your login credentials for each of your learners.  Please follow the instructions in the email.  

If you did not receive an email or need assistance please email powerschool@learnlife.com. 

Please complete your PowerSchool registration by Tuesday, September 1st.

Your family has also received an email invitation from Holded, our new billing platform (that syncs with PowerSchool). The email title would say “Antoinette has invited you to Holded”.  If you did not receive it please check your spam folder.

A group of parent volunteers dedicated to supporting the success and well-being of our EcoHub community. They are the EcoHub version of a Parent-Teacher Association — here to connect, support, and celebrate with you throughout the school year.

We look forward to welcoming our new families on Tuesday, the 1st, from 1 – 2 pm for a New Families Lunch and to seeing all learners Wednesday, the 2nd, for the start of the 2026/27 academic year.
