Welcome Back Families!
It was wonderful meeting with all of you on Wednesday. We are thrilled about the start of the new learning year and can't wait to welcome new learners to the space this coming Tuesday, 1 September and all learners this coming Wednesday, 2 September. This month's newsletter includes highlighted information from the parent meeting and resources that we consider useful for you and your learner during these first weeks.

Advanced Placement Meeting
Cycle 1 starts

Public Holidays, Hub closed!
Where: Castelldefels Beach - Give and Receive Sculpture Area
Schedule: Leaving Urban Hub at 9:30 & Returning to Urban Hub at 16:00
Transport: We will travel together by train, getting off at Castelldefels Beach station (Platja Castelldefels), followed by a short walk to the beach.
What to bring:
β¬5.80 for the return train journey
Water bottle
Packed lunch
Snack(s)
Umbrella β important! We strongly recommend bringing one for personal shade and protection from the sun.
Sunscreen
Hat
Swimsuit β ideally worn underneath their clothes
Change of clothes

β οΈ Important: If your learner cannot swim, or you do not wish them to swim, please Gaby and Suzanne know in advance.
β οΈ There is a lifeguard on duty.
Where: La Floresta Public Pool, Carrer del Ginjoler, 8, Sant Cugat del Vallès
Schedule: Leaving Urban Hub at 10:30 & Returning to Urban Hub at 17:00
Transport: We will travel together by train, getting off at La Floresta, followed by a short walk to the pool.
Please ensure your learner comes prepared with:

With the beginning of the year, we will have program specific meetings for you to be able to learn more about your learner's program and ask any questions you may have to the program leads.

As part of our commitment to expanding academic pathways in alignment with our U.S.-based NEASC accreditation, we are pleased to share details about our Advanced Placement (AP) offerings for the 2026β2027 academic year.
The following AP-aligned Building Blocks will be available this academic year. All can be accessed by Changemakers and second-year Creators.

Your child can bring their own lunch daily. Alternatively, you can place an order for their lunch through our catering partner, The Healthiest Choice. Further details including prices, menus, and and sign-up instructions available via WhatsApp: +34 624 207 186.
Creators and Changemakers can leave the Hub for lunch with parental permission. Explorers are not allowed to leave the Hub for lunch.
We recommend that your child also bring healthy snacks with them in case they would like to eat something between Building Blocks (classes).
Laptop and charger, Pencil Case (pens, pencils, markers / colors, highlighters, eraser, sharpener), Notebooks (lined and grid) of choice, Transparent Folder to keep loose papers, Water bottle, Headphones, Lunch & Cutlery (Important!)
