Dear Village Hub Families,
What a year it has been. As we reach the end, we find ourselves looking back with full hearts at everything our learners have accomplished, the challenges they've risen to, the curiosity they've followed, and the ways they've grown both individually and as a community.
None of it would have been possible without you. Your trust, your involvement, and your partnership are what make the Village Hub such a special place to learn and grow. Thank you for walking alongside us every step of the way.
From all of us, thank you for being part of our Village Hub family.
Our latest showcase was, in the words of so many who attended, our best one yet. A real highlight was watching our very own Village Hub band take the stage for the first time, a studio we're thrilled to say will continue next year.
A heartfelt thank you to Liana, our wonderful host, and to every learner who shared their learning with such pride. We're equally grateful to the families who came along, took the time to give thoughtful feedback, and asked the important questions that push our learners to go deeper. It's moments like these that remind us what a special Village Hub family we have.
And finally, a warm thank you to the families for the thoughtful gift to the Learning Guides. It meant a great deal.
Congratulations to our learners who worked so hard to complete the requirements needed to transition to the next program. This is a wonderful achievement and a reflection of their dedication throughout the year.
We had a fantastic time celebrating together at PortaAventura, where it was a joy to watch our learners look out for one another and make sure everyone had a great day. The team spirit on display was truly something special and a perfect reminder of the kind of community we're building together.
We couldn't be prouder!
This round of intensives was all about coming together and enjoying ourselves. Some learners chose to roll up their sleeves and take part in activities to help create a more beautiful space, while we also set out to recreate that wonderful colònies feeling, soaking up the beach, the Canal Olímpic, and plenty of other fun and collaborative activities along the way.
Perhaps the best measure of success came the morning after the sleepover, when the very first thing our learners said was, "Let's do this more often!" We couldn't agree more.
A Message from Leigh and a Fundraising Update
Dear Families,
As I reflect on my first year, I want to thank you for welcoming me into the community and for your support, openness, and commitment to Learnlife.
Watching your children grow this year inspires me. I couldn’t be prouder of the love of learning, resilience, and confidence I see every day in our Hubs. While we have three distinct Hubs, we are one Learnlife, and together, we move forward.
Halfway to our €500k family contribution goal
Together, we've raised €250,000 of our €500,000 family contribution goal. This means we’re halfway towards our family contribution goal. It is a fantastic achievement in such a short time. Thank you to everyone who has contributed so far.
71 of our families have responded to the family contribution survey. If you’ve been meaning to give but haven’t completed the survey, now is a good moment before you head into summer for a relaxing break.
Every contribution goes directly to our Hubs, helps us towards our sustainability goal, and reduces reliance on external investment. You can complete the survey here.
I'll send you a short update every two weeks so you can see exactly where we are.
Have a wonderful summer.
Leigh
Let's Watch the August 12th Eclipse Together!
On the evening of August 12th, something rare is happening in the sky. A deep partial solar eclipse will be visible from our area, with around 99% of the sun covered by the moon, the first eclipse of its kind over Spain in generations. It will happen low in the western sky in the early evening, close to sunset.
If any families are around and interested, we'd love to watch it together from the rooftop of the Village Hub. Alena will be there with her family, and we'd be delighted for you to join us. We'll gather in the evening at the hub.
If you'd like to come along, please email Alena at alena@learnlife.com for more information and timings.
And if you'd like to explore the science behind it with your kids beforehand, check out this link for some simple, fun activities to learn about eclipses together: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1FZX7KW1Ybh5TW3KkBWt4SBE9fvhIdkA9
A quick but important safety note: it's never safe to look directly at a partial eclipse without certified eclipse glasses, so we'll make sure to share guidance on safe viewing before the day.
Learnlife's Merch Store!
We are very happy to announce Learnlife’s official Merch store where you can find a learnlife T-Shirt or sweatshirt for anyone in the fmaily!

We're excited to introduce a brand new newsletter section, born from a wonderful parent suggestion: Bring It Home. The idea is simple, to share ways learning can continue beyond the Village Hub.
For this first edition, we've put together a few simple activities learners can enjoy over the summer, from journaling to maths to passion projects. We're especially fond of the idea of learners taking on a passion project over the break, so we've included the very same guide we use with learners here at the hub to help them get started.
You can find some summer learning activities here.
We also warmly encourage you to take a moment to reflect on the year together with your learner. Here are a few questions to spark a meaningful conversation:
What's something you're proud of this year that no one else knows about?
When did you feel most like yourself this year?
What's a moment that challenged you, and what did you learn from getting through it?
If this year were a chapter in a book, what would you title it?
What's something you changed your mind about?
Who made a difference for you this year, and have you told them?
Warm regards,
– The Village Hub Team
