Dear Eco Hub families,
March has been a month filled with meaningful moments across our community, from celebrating learning through our Showcase to coming together in shared experiences that connect us to one another and to our environment. As we move through the final stretch of the year, we are proud of the growth, creativity, and commitment our learners continue to show each day. In this newsletter, we share highlights, updates, and important information as we look ahead to the next steps in our learning journey together.
Enjoy the read!
Warmly,
The Eco Hub Team
This month, our community came together for one of the most special moments of the learning cycle: our Showcase. It was a joyful celebration of curiosity, effort, and growth, where learners shared their projects, ideas, and discoveries with families and peers. From creative maps to poems and song lyrics, the Showcase highlighted not just what learners created, but how they think, collaborate, and evolve. Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make this moment so meaningful.
On the final day, we closed the celebration with two special moments. We proudly announced the winners of our Easter egg decoration competition, showcasing creativity, originality, and care in every design. To end the day with purpose and connection to our environment, we also carried out a beach clean-up, coming together as a community to take action and care for the natural space we are so lucky to learn from.
Our Learning Team has been working behind the scenes to design the Building Block outputs for cycle 3. These outputs reflect a thoughtful progression of skills, competencies, and meaningful learning experiences across age groups. We’re excited for what’s ahead and invite you to take a closer look at the overview to see what learners will be exploring next.
We’re happy to share the 2026/27 calendar with our community. This will help you plan ahead and stay connected to key dates, learning cycles, and important moments throughout the year.
As we approach the end of the cycle, our Adventurers and Discoverers Year 2 learners are preparing for an exciting transition into their next programmes in June. These moments mark important milestones in their learning journey, supporting growth, independence, and new challenges ahead.
If you weren’t able to attend the informative sessions, you can catch up and watch them here.
Before the start of the break, we reached the deadline for the Jocs Florals, our literary competition celebrating creativity and expression through writing. We’re excited to see the wonderful work our learners have created and will be announcing the winners on Sant Jordi, April 23.
We’d like to share a brief update on the Village Hub. After the announcement of Eco Hub’s discontinuation, the plan was for it to expand to include the primary years (6-10) next academic year to accommodate Eco Hub learners. However, since the Eco Hub will continue to remain open, the Village Hub will focus on continuing offering programs for upper primary learners (10–12), as well as secondary years, with the intention of progressively extending up to age 18 over time.
Please find in the following link a special offer and April’s menu.
Here are some key dates to keep in mind:
March 30 - April 6 - Spring Break
April 7 - First day cycle 3 and start of sprint 6
April 23 - Sant Jordi celebration (3pm)
Our next big event is just around the corner! Please save the date: May 30th, from 4:00 to 8:00 pm, for our Mercadillo at the Hub. We’ll be sharing more details very soon, we’re looking forward to celebrating together!
Thank you to all parents who volunteered in our last Showcase party! It really makes a difference when many parents are involved. We appreciate all of you!
In our fifth and final interactive learning module, families discovered how behavior challenges are opportunities to build essential skills. Families covered concepts such as understanding the “lagging skills” behind challenging behavior, seeing how behavior signals a missing skill rather than defiance, observing and participating in Plan B conversations, and practicing identifying skills and supporting development.
